We wanted to see the thousands of Tundra Swans, Snow Geese, Canada Geese, and many species of ducks at Mattamuskeet. Hotel Englehard is about the closest to the lake and located in quaint Englehard. The hotel is easy to find and the room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was the best meal of the day for us. We saw all of the birds we came to see and even an early Summer Tanager. Wonderful Hotel staffed by the most friendly owners. They even let us use their computer when our laptop didn't work. They provide free Wi-fi. Take a look at our review on Trip Advisor for photos.
